Facilitator

This conference is developed and delivered by Psychotherapist Donal Clifford (M.I.A.C.P, M.A.C.I), who specialises in sexual addictions/compulsions, problematic or addictive porn use, and relationship/intimacy issues.

Donal’s background is in addiction counselling, having worked at a residential addiction centre for six years. Following this, Donal trained as a sexual addiction therapist with leading expert, Paula Hall in the UK. As well as working in private practice since 2013, Donal developed the Sex And Love Therapy (S.A.L.T.) programme in 2014, the first of it’s kind in Ireland.

The S.A.L.T programme is a customised group therapy service which supports people in regulating their problematic sexualised behaviour, and eliminates any internalised shame or isolation that may be associated with it. The S.A.L.T. programme became part of the Sexual Health Centre in Cork city in 2020, and has seen a steady rise in individuals seeking counselling for sexual and relational concerns. The service saw a 350% increase in demand last year alone, with many clients travelling from different counties to seek support.

Continuing Professional Development

A total of 12 CPD points have been applied to this training. Participants must complete both days in full.

A certificate will be provided to all in attendance, along with a training pack.
