In January, Ireland launched its roadmap towards the elimination of cervical cancer. CervicalCheck is committed to the WHO goal of cervical cancer elimination which aims to reduce the incidence to less than 4 per 100,000 women. This reduction can be achieved if 90% of girls are vaccinated against HPV by age 15, 70% of women have two screening tests by age 45, and 90% of women with precancerous cells or early invasive cancer receive timely treatment.
This webinar is a great opportunity to hear more about changes in cervical screening in Ireland as we work towards this goal. Speakers will discuss how screening can reduce the risk of developing cervical cancer, the role of laboratory quality assurance and the development of personal cervical screening reviews for patients who develop cervical cancer after screening.
