Foundation Programme in Sexual Health Promotion - HSE CHO 7 - Dublin South, Kildare and West Wicklow

Community Healthcare Dublin South, Kildare, and West Wicklow Health Promotion and Improvement Team as part of the Health & Wellbeing Division is pleased to announce registration is open for applications for the Foundation Programme in Sexual Health Promotion (FPSHP) this autumn. The FPSHP is a comprehensive capacity-building training programme for service providers who want to develop their competence, skills and knowledge in the area of sexual health promotion, and incorporate sexual health promotion into their work. The FPSHP is certified by HSE Health Promotion & Improvement and endorsed by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.

This is a six-day course, delivered across a three-month period, which is open to health, education, and youth and community service providers who wish to develop their competence, skills and knowledge in the area of sexual health and sexual wellbeing.

Course Delivery Dates for Autumn:

·       Wednesday the 19th & Thursday the 20th of October 2022

·       Wednesday the 16th & Thursday the 17th of November 2022

·       Wednesday the 30th of November & Thursday the 1st of December 2022

The closing date for application is Friday the 16th of September, and telephone interviews for applicants will take place on Friday 30th September and Monday 3rd October.

Attendance on all six days is required to receive certification. Spaces are very limited and a high demand for this course is expected. A waiting list will be created for future training in 2023.
