At the ICGP webinar on 7/12/2022, Dr Paul Ryan, GP and Pharmacist presented important information and updates on NSAID (Nurofen Plus/Ibuprofen use).
Key points: NSAIDs:
*cause more deaths than RTAs. Twice as many deaths as asthma or cervical cancer.
*responsible for 30% of adverse drug reactions. Including bleeding, M.I, stroke, nephrotoxicity.
*check renal function on all those who take Ibuprofen regularly.
