SHAG Week 2019
This semester's Sexual Health Awareness and Guidance (SHAG) Week will commence on Monday 11th February and will aptly conclude on Thursday 14th, Valentine's Day!
The USI, local Students Unions, in conjunction with the HSE, HIV Ireland, IFPA, NWCI and the DRCC, will launch a range of events countrywide to improve knowledge regarding sexual health and sexually transmitted infections (STI's) among 3rd level students, while numerous Student Health Centres across the country will also be promoting STI awareness and encouraging students to avail of their own local STI screening services - http://usi.ie/featured/usi-
SHAG Week also provides a great opportunity to once again highlight the extent of fantastic information, as well as the wide range of excellent resources available via the HSE's Sexual Health and Crisis Pregancy Programme's website, www.sexualwellbeing.ie , which are of use to both healthcare professionals and members of the public, alike.
Finally, ISHA would like to sincerely thank our wonderful colleague, Theresa Lowry Lehnan, from the Student Health Centre in IT Carlow, for kindly sharing the below attached presentation on STI's, which she had prepared for her student population as part of this year's SHAG Week campaign.
