Laura Tully wins 'Practice Nurse of the Year' award at Irish Healthcare Awards 2017
Our colleague and current ISHA President, Laura Tully, was the recipient of the inaugural 'Practice Nurse of the Year' award at the annual Irish Healthcare Awards ceremony, which was held in Dublin last week. Laura had been nominated by her GP colleague, Dr Sarah Cuffe, and having been initially short-listed from a list of many entrants from across the country, she was ultimately selected as the overall winner on the night.
This award comes as no surprise however to those of us who know Laura personally or to anyone involved in Irish Student Health. For many years now, Laura has displayed her wonderful work ethic, passion, drive and commitment, both in terms of providing a top quality health service to the patients for whom she cares, but also in helping to continue to develop and progress the Irish Student Health Association and promote the great work that all of our members do on the ground in 3rd level health units and medical centres right across the country.
On behalf of the ISHA executive committee, we would like to publicly thank Laura for all her continued hard work and efforts on behalf of the association and would like to sincerely congratulate her on this wonderful and well deserved achievement!
