Student Health: Head to Toe 2019
Of note, the 2019 Conference will see the launch of 2 inaugural ISHA Awards - The Pauline Carberry Memorial Award for 'Best Poster Presentation' & The Dr David Thomas Award for 'Outstanding Contribution to 3rd Level Student Health'.
Pauline Carberry Memorial Award:
The ISHA Executive and Conference Organising Committee are now calling for submission of Abstract entries for their Poster Presentation Competition. This competition is open to any research or study that relates to any element of Student Health or Wellbeing. We are presently seeking submission of abstracts (max. 400 words) to firstname.lastname@example.org, with a closing date for receipt of applications of Friday 22nd February.
[Notes: Posters will be evaluated based on the following three parameters: Presentation Style, Research Quality & Layout/Design.The Pauline Carberry Memorial Award and a prize of €500 will be presented to the winning poster presentation. Poster Size - A0 (Portrait format - Height 118.9cm Width 84.1cm)]
Dr David Thomas Award:
The ISHA Executive Committee are also seeking submissions from members who would like to nominate any of their fellow colleagues, either in a healthcare professional or administrative role, who they feel should be considered for receipt of the Dr David Thomas Award based on their contribution to 3rd Level Student Health. Submissions should be sent to email@example.com on a Microsoft Word document, not exceeding a single A4 page or max. 500 words; clearly stating the Name of the Nominee and the 3rd Level Institution to which they are attached, the Name(s) of the Proposer(s); and a description of the nominee's role and their impact on and contribution to their 3rd Level Student Health Service. Deadline for receipt of nominations is Friday 15th February.
Please give consideration to entering abstracts regarding any research you may have undertaken for inclusion in our Poster Presentation Competition, and we would please ask that you circulate this information to colleagues in relevant Medical, Nursing, Psychology or other Health Sciences Faculties within your institutions, who could then disseminate it to others who may have undertaken research on topics relating to 3rd Level Student Health or Wellbeing.
Also, if you have a colleague who you feel is deserving of consideration for the Dr David Thomas Award, then please be sure to nominate them. If they're not in, they can't win!
